As soon as I walked into Beauty Lake Retreat I said “wow” out loud to my toddler and immediately grabbed my camera. The windows, the light streaming in, the impeccable design elements. I could feel the passion that went into this beautiful place.

Andrew and Louis have put a lot of love into this gorgeous retreat and it’s the perfect spot for year round adventures. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be when everything is green in the summer or the leaves are changing on the winding roads in the fall. But I gotta say, there was something extra special about being there in winter. My daughter and I played music, snuggled on the big couch, played games, I had a glass of wine, we cooked in the massive kitchen, and appreciated the beautiful nature through the large windows. There was fresh snow on the ground and everything was so peaceful.

Being only 3 miles from Itasca State Park and the Mississippi, this is also the perfect escape for outdoor lovers. Explore the state park by day and tell stories around the campfire back at Beauty Lake Retreat in the evening.
